The original Painkiller was created in the 1970s at the Soggy Dollar Bar at White Bay on the island of Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands; the Painkiller is one of a very small number of trademarked cocktails.

Painkiller

 60 ml dark rum
 120 ml pineapple juice
 30 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
 30 ml cream of coconut
 Grated nutmeg for garnish
 Pineapple wedge for garnish

Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add the rum, pineapple and orange juices along with the cream of coconut to the shaker.

Shake briefly but vigorously to combine.

Strain into a hurricane glass over crushed ice.

Garnish with grated nutmeg and a pineapple wedge.
