Purgatory a la Française

 45 ml (1½ oz) cognac
 10 ml (⅓ oz) Yellow Chartreuse
 20 ml (⅔ oz) Punt E Mes vermouth amaro
 5 ml (⅙ oz) peated Scotch whisky

Half-fill a mixing jug with ice.

Add all ingredients and stir until well-chilled.

Strain into a Nick and Nora glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
