2nd #cocktail of #FridayNightCocktails on the 28th October: Silent Seven

The second cocktail this evening is a variation on the classic ‘Silent Third’ cocktail which first published in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book (1937). This Silent Seven variation uses Tennessee Whiskey which is not quite as silent as the originals Scotch whisky.

A variation on the classic 'Silent Third' cocktail which first published in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book (1937). This variation uses Tennessee Whiskey which is not quite as silent as the originals Scotch whisky.

 50 ml Tennessee whiskey
 20 ml triple sec
 20 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
 7.50 ml simple syrup
 Orange twist for garnish

Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all ingredients and vigorously shake until well combined (approximately 15-20 seconds).

Fill a tumbler with ice and strain from the shaker into the glass.

Garnish with an orange twist.
