Our second cocktail is the Turf Club (Winter’s). George Winter’s Turf Club recipe from his 1884 How To Mix Drinks–Bar-Keeper’s Handbook; the original recipe calls for Peruvian Bitters, but we’ve used the more commonly available Angostura Aromatic Bitters.

Our first cocktail is the Yellow Negroni, created by Simon Difford in 2017 at the Cabinet Room, London, England, the Yellow Negroni riffs on the Negroni with three of the iconic yellow liqueurs; Yellow Chartreuse, gentian and limoncello.

Our third and final cocktail is the Hearst Martini. Believed to have been created at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria and to have been a favourite of journalists who worked for William Randolph Hearst, the US newspaper magnate. It is also known by the nickname The Disgruntled Journalist.

Our first cocktail is the Quill, a Negroni variant which is much more than just a rise of absinthe suggests. Credited to Frank C. Payne of New York, USA in the 1996 edition of Harry McElhone’s classic cocktail book “Harry’s ABC of Mixing Cocktails”.

Our first cocktail is the Contessa, a sweeter Negroni variant, which replaces the Campari for Aperol and uses dry vermouth in place of sweet, attributed to John Gertsen, Drink Bar, Boston, USA.

The Negroni is a very popular cocktail which has many variants.
