Our third and final cocktail is one of the classics; the William Porter. This is an almost Manhattan-like combination of blended Scotch, sweet vermouth and triple sec.
It’s named after an American journalist called William Porter, who founded a popular sports newspaper called the Spirit of the Times.

A classic cocktail named for William Porter (1809-1858), it is a somewhat tart combination of Scotch, sweet vermouth and triple sec.
50 ml blended Scotch whisky
7.50 ml triple sec
15 ml sweet vermouth
5 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
1 dash orange bitters

Add ice to a mixing jug.

Add all ingredients and stir until well-chilled.

Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe.
