We’ve used a few variants of the Old Fashioned since we started this site.
Our first cocktail is the The Scofflaw. This is a modern variant, created by Gary Regan, of the original 1924 Scoff-law cocktail, which increases the bourbon and decreases the grenadine.
There are quite a few modern variants which “re-balance” them for modern palettes which usually means increasing the base alcohol and reducing other elements, as is the case here.
Our third and final cocktail is the Red Breast, a Scotch, lime and ginger beer cocktail, flavoured with raspberry. Created by Wayne Collins in 2004.
Our second cocktail is the Passion Fruit Margarita. A fruity, tangy drink ideal for summer.
Our first cocktail is the Crimson Cocktail which combines gin from England and ruby port from Portugal, along with lime juice and grenadine syrup.
Our third and final cocktail is the Brunswick. A rye whiskey variant of the New York Sour.
Our second cocktail is the Cosmopolitan (1934). There are a few recipes for Cosmopolitans floating around, but, as we tend to prefer more classic versions of cocktails, we’ve gone for a Cosmopolitan recipe dating back to 1934.
