1st #cocktail of #FridayNightCocktails on 20th October: Enzoni

Our first cocktail is the Enzoni, a summer Negroni variant created by Vincenzo Errico in 2001 at Match in London, England.

I got to thinking; is this a Negroni variant or a Campari sour?

Alice, Betty, and Carol had been friends since college. They had been through a lot together, and they always knew they could count on each other. One Friday night, they decided to get together for drinks at their favorite bar.

When they arrived, the bartender greeted them with a smile. "What can I get for you ladies tonight?" he asked.

"I'll have an Enzoni," Alice said.

"Me too," Betty and Carol said in unison.

The bartender got to work mixing their drinks. A few minutes later, he placed three glasses in front of them.

"Enjoy," he said.

Alice, Betty, and Carol raised their glasses in a toast. "To friendship," Alice said.

"To friendship," Betty and Carol echoed.

They took a sip of their drinks.

"Mmm," Alice said. "This is delicious." I agree, Betty and Carol said. I didn't know green grapes could make such a good cocktail.

They continued to drink and talk. They talked about their work, their families, and their plans for the future. They laughed and cried together, just like they had done since they were college students.

At one point, Alice said, "I'm so grateful for you two. You're the best friends a girl could ask for." I feel the same way, Betty and Carol said.

They raised their glasses in a toast again. "To the best friends in the world," Alice said.

"To the best friends in the world," Betty and Carol echoed.

They finished their drinks and ordered another round. They continued to talk and laugh, enjoying each other's company.

As the night went on, they started to get a little tipsy. They were even more giddy and carefree than usual. They told jokes and stories, and they danced around the bar.

At one point, Betty said, "I'm so glad we have each other. I don't know what I would do without you two." I feel the same way, Alice and Carol said.

They raised their glasses in a toast again. "To the best friends a girl could ask for," Betty said.

"To the best friends a girl could ask for," Alice and Carol echoed.

They finished their drinks and ordered another round. They continued to talk and laugh, enjoying each other's company.

As the night drew to a close, they realized that it was time to go home. They said goodbye to the bartender and hugged each other tightly.

"I had such a great time tonight," Alice said.

"Me too," Betty and Carol said.

They walked out of the bar and into the cool night air. They laughed and talked as they walked, savoring the last moments of their evening together.

When they reached their cars, they said goodbye again.

"I'll see you next week," Alice said.

"Can't wait," Betty and Carol said.

They got into their cars and drove away. As they drove, they thought about the amazing night they had had with their best friends. They were grateful for their friendship and for the Enzoni cocktails that had helped them to celebrate it.
