A 1930s cocktail which uses both chardonnay white wine and champagne with cognac and fresh strawberries.
Add the strawberries and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and muddle.
Add the cognac and white wine to the shaker.
Half fill the shaker with ice and shake until well chilled.
Pour the contents of the shaker (including strawberries and ice) into a large wine glass.
Top with champagne and garnish with a strawberry..
