Two friends, Alex and Beatrice, were sitting at the bar of their favorite restaurant, enjoying a leisurely dinner on a Friday evening. They were both in their early 30s, and they had been friends since college. They had a lot in common, including a love of good food and drink.

They raised their glasses in a toast. "To friendship!" they said.

After a few more minutes, Alex and Beatrice decided it was time to go. They paid their bill and left the restaurant.

As they were walking outside, Alex took Beatrice's hand. "I had a really nice time tonight," he said.

"Me too," Beatrice said. "We should do it again soon."

"I'd like that," Alex said.

They walked to Beatrice's car and said goodbye.
