I became aware of the Brandy Alexander from watching the US TV show The Big Bang Theory; this is one of the drinks ordered by Raj (alongside the Grasshopper).

Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add all liquid ingredients to the shaker and shake until well chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with grated nutmeg.

This was made with ground nutmeg rather than grated as that was all that I had available.
