Our first cocktail is the Alexander, which is a creamy cocktail which dates back to approximately 1915, appearing in Recipes for Mixed Drinks by Hugo Ensslin in 1916.

The Brandy Alexander is a variant of the Alexander which has, through time, become more popular.

 45 ml dry gin
 22.50 ml white cream de cacao
 22.50 ml single cream
 10 ml egg white
 Grated nutmeg for garnish

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all ingredients to the shaker and shake until well-chilled.

Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe.

Garnish with a dusting of grated nutmeg.
