Our first cocktail this evening is a Green Ghost, a close relation of the The Last Word, created by J. B. Hurrell sometime before 1937.

40 ml dry gin
10 ml Green Chartreuse
10 ml freshly squeezed lime juice

Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all ingredients and shake until well-chilled.

Strain into a Nick & Nora or cocktail glass.
This is the original Hurrell version, but Simon Difford has a version which adds 5ml sugar syrup.
