Our sixth drink of St Patrick’s Day on the 17th March is the Tipperary. This is named after the county of Tipperary in Ireland and is another non-green cocktail.
The Tipperary is named after an Irish county.
Add ice to a mixing jug.
Add all ingredients to the mixing jug and gently stir until well chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a mascharino cherry (optional)
There are a few versions of the Tipperary cocktail floating around; we've gone for a modern interpretation based on the 1922 Harry MacElhone version of 2:1:0.5 of whiskey, sweet vermouth and Green Chartreuse.
