When the fog lifts and the storm ends, the moon shines.

Our third and final cocktail this evening is the Moonshine Martini, which was adapted from a recipe in Henry Craddock’s The Savoy Cocktail Book, published in 1930.

The modern Moonshine Martini is adapted from a recipe in Henry Craddock's The Savoy Cocktail Book, published in 1930.

 45 ml dry gin
 15 ml Maraschino cherry liqueur
 30 ml extra dry vermouth
 2.50 ml absinthe

Add ice to a mixing jug.

Add all ingredients and stir until chilled.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
