1st #cocktail of #FridayNightCocktails on 24th February: Brandy Cocktail

Our first cocktail is the Brandy Cocktail. There are many cocktails called simply a Brandy Cocktail which are vintage recipes of unknown origins; we’ve opted for one which is perhaps slightly different to many of those recipes in that it uses both Angostrua and Peychaud’s bitters.

A Brandy Cocktail is a vintage cocktail of unknown provenance; there are multiple cocktails served under this name.

 60 ml brandy
 15 ml orange curacao
 2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
 Lemon peel for garnish

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all ingredients to the shaker and shake until well-chilled.

Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
