2nd #cocktail of #FridayNightCocktails on 11th August: Green Goddess

Our second cocktail is the Green Goddess. Created at a now-closed South Africa fusion restaurant, Peri Peri, in Houston, Texas, USA, it’s a fresh and floral combination of kiwi, elderflower, lime, soda and dry gin.

Created at a now-closed South Africa fusion restaurant, Peri Peri, in Houston, Texas, USA, it's a fresh and floral combination of kiwi, elderflower, lime, soda and dry gin.

 ½ peeled kiwi
 60 ml dry gin
 22.50 ml elderflower liqueur
 15 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
 30 ml simple syrup
 60 ml soda water

Peel and slice the half kiwi fruit; add to a cocktail shaker and muddle.

Add the dry gin, elderflower liqueur, lime juice and simply syrup to the shaker.

Half-fill the shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

Strain into a highball glass and fill with ice.

Garnish with slices of lime and/or kiwi fruit.

Serve with a straw.
